Getting started
Todoist is a personal planning and productivity tool for creating to-do lists, tasks and reminders. In case you have not yet registered a Todoist account, follow the steps on the Todoist website to create a Todoist account.
Pre-requisites:
Todoist premium membership is required (a trial version is available). Follow the instructions on the Todoist website to activate your Todoist account. Todoist premium membership is required because the task ‘add comments’ functionality is only available for Todoist premium members. https://todoist.com/
Follow these steps to integrate JIRA with your Todoist account using the Todoist JIRA Integration plugin.
Step 1: Retrieve your Todoist API Token
Login to the Todoist website
Go to Settings in the top right corner of the navigation panel
Go to Integrations in the Settings menu
Copy the API-token value
Step 2: Enter the Todoist API Token value
Go to the Todoist Connector for JIRA add-on page in JIRA (Main panel > Todoist Connector for JIRA).
Enter the API token value
Click on Save
Step 3: Create your first Todoist task from a JIRA issue
Go to the issue view of an issue that you would like to save to your Todoist instance.
Click on the three dots (∘∘∘) icon on the right side of the issue view.
Click on Save as Todoist Task to save the issue as a task in Todoist. A confirmation dialog should appear.
Step 4: Validate the result in Todoist
Login to the Todoist website.
Go to the Inbox.
You should see that the JIRA issue is added to your Todoist Inbox.
